Through our DDJ-S series, we continue releasing synchronizations (music library recordings). After the orchestral funk-contaminated-by-classical-Russian-music in FIRE STARS DANCES (DDJ01S, Piero Piccioni & Luis Bacalov) and continuing through the explosive mainstream disco music featured in DISCOMUSIC (DDJ02S, Piero Umiliani), we take a small leap back to 1976 in order to retrieve one of the rarest electronic synchronizations of the ‘70s: TRA SCIENZA E FANTASCIENZA, again realized by the histrionic Piero Umiliani, a Maestro gifted with a never-ending passion for music. He was an innovator by vocation and experimenter by genetic code, here at ease with various synths in order to forge sounds that could be reductively termed as avant-garde. Timeless atmospheres, alien, hypnotic sonorities modern and charmingly retro, minimal and complex, arranged with an impressive taste for the unknown substance the Maestro was going to deal with.

It’s amazing to see how in 1976 the Maestro was already ahead of his time in building completely new sounds. A cue that really stands out is Happy Accompaniment, which sounds like it could’ve been created in 2013 as a “minimal house” track.

The CD is presented in the typical format of the series: a slim jewel case with picture-disc CD and a reproduction of the original LP artwork.
